This website is still a work in progress. My original intention was to create a collaborative site that would help clients and colleagues both by facilitating translator selection tailored to specific scholarship needs.

I remain dedicated to the idea that we would all benefit from a stronger professional network in which academic translators like myself can work within the narrow niches for which they are best prepared (in my case, early modern European history).

If you or a potential client looking to have your careful research translated into another language, please do not entrust that job to just any translator. You’ve spent years developing your sense of academic style and research skills, and you need a translator or editor with a similar skill set. I’m happy to try to help. For the past five years, I’ve been working to develop an international network of translators specialized in academic literature, and, while I cannot promise solutions in all language pairs or fields, it’s a good place to start.

If you are a translator or editor who specializes in an academic field, I’d love to hear from you, too! This page is the latest step in my efforts to build up a collegial network because I’m convinced we’re stronger together, in all the languages we speak.
